1203380 Vote / release Year - 2009 / summary - It"s WWII, the battleground, Nazi-occupied France. The Nazis are doing whatever they need to to flush out and exterminate Jews, the most proficient and prolific of the Jew hunters being the sadistic SS Colonel Hans Landa. As such, the American military forms a unit, led by Lieutenant Aldo Raine and comprised of eight Jews, to kill as many Nazis as possible. Raine requests each of his men to bring him the scalp of at least 100 Nazis apiece. He has his own method of ensuring that those Nazis he does allow or need to let go free are scarred for life. In Paris in 1944, Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi"s chief propaganda master and filmmaker, plans to debut his latest film, "Nation"s Pride". The film, based on the victorious military exploits of Private Fredrick Zoller, stars Zoller as himself. Because of his attraction to its pretty proprietress Emmanuelle Mimieux, Zoller convinces Goebbels and the Nazi brass to hold the premiere at Mimieux"s cinema. Landa is to act as chief of security for the event. When the Americans get wind of the screening and the fact that most of the Nazi highers-up will be in attendance, Raine"s team is tasked with blowing up the cinema during the screening. They are assisted by renowned German actress, Bridget von Hammersmark, who has been working as a spy for the British. They believe luck is on their side when they learn that Hitler himself is scheduled to attend. Beyond being found out, Raine"s team face two as of yet unknown issues. The first is Mimieux, who is really Shoshanna Dreyfus, a Jew who saw her family brutally murdered by Landa four years earlier, and who may have her own plans for Landa and the Nazis. The second is Landa, who beyond his up front mission, has another more personal mission for his life post-war unknown to anyone but himself / Diane Kruger, Mélanie Laurent / / Directed by - Quentin Tarantino

I can"t wait to see him again in Spectre. “These yanks have been them the Devil” is one of my favorite lines ever. 3:33 Obviously Tarantino include that Dr Evil reference on purpose. NEIN, I remember being 8 when I saw this and Wowwie that theatre massacre scene sure did traumatized me for a few hours ??????.

Such a great scene. Top notch acting by both actors. Brilliant. That German NCO had not one but two Iron Crosses. There was the medal the Jew (don"t know his name) taped with his bat and then the red ribbon coming out from his uniform. Along side the two Iron Crosses are the General Assault Badge, this could have been awarded for attending to battlefield casualties in close combat conditions, to engineers and artillerymen who fought along side an infantry assault and if it was awarded prior to 1942 could have been for the single-handed destruction of a tank. The last medal is a Wound Badge, this seems self explanatory but its the equivalent to the Purple Heart, also the black Wound Badge was awarded if you were wounded once or twice so who knows he may have been wounded for each Iron Cross. This may have been a flaw in the movie but the Wound Badge this officer has is all black, all black badges were awarded in 1918 of the First World War and black and silver for the Second, so he may have even been a veteran of the First World War but who knows. Also the one who tried to run away after the Jew beat the NCO to death also had an Iron Cross 2nd Class (Red Ribbon) Also I see a lot of comments calling him an office but his rank is FeldWebel, or Staff Sargent. From what i can tell from his medals and uniform this man was most likely enlisted from the very beginning. The biggest give away is the Eagle, the version he has was only issued in 1935 so this man volunteered before open conflict even broke out. Also like i said earlier because of his all black Wound Badge he may have also served in the First World War. This man was a hardened veteran and a soldier to the core. (I know this is fiction but i like to think of it as fleshes out his character.

No trace of the best part of the movie in trailer - Christopher Waltz. He was more excited about kissing Penelope Cruz than he was his wife LOL.

He deffo watched the boy in the striped Pyjamas before making this
